美國聯邦準備理事會(FED)8日公佈，5月消費者信貸餘額月增196億美元至2兆839億美元，不僅連續第10個月呈現上揚，且增長幅度為近一年來之最，主因開學與購車導致資金需增加。據路透社統計，經濟學家預期信貸餘額將增加125億美元。

數據顯示，循環信用貸款(例如：信用卡)餘額為8,565億美元，較前月增加66億美元；年率增幅為9.3%，高於前月的負1.1%。

非循環信用貸款(例如：學生貸款、汽車貸款、活動屋貸款)餘額為1兆982.8億美元，較前月增加130億美元；年率增幅為7.9%，高於前月的6.2%。
